Race Relations in America (1877-1912)

America’s struggle with racism did not, of course, end with the abolition of slavery at the end of the Civil War. This lesson examines some of the new forms and methods of racial discrimination that developed, notably segregation, as well as the African-American leaders who, despite their own internal disagreements, were determined to fight and overcome it.
