Political Corruption and Attempts at Reform

The focus of this lesson is the “machine”, an often corrupt form of political organization prominent in both political parties and in all regions of the country during this period. The focus too is on those who fought (with some successes and some failures) for reforms aimed at cleaning up the way politics was practiced.
