John F. Kennedy and the Cold War

January 20th, 1961 saw the inauguration of a new president, John F. Kennedy, who almost immediately found himself confronting some of the worst crises of the Cold War. This lesson examines several of those key events and how Kennedy handled them, including the Bay of Pigs invasion, the Berlin Crisis and the Cuban Missile Crisis.
