Domestic Politics and Policy (1912-1916)

This lesson discusses the split in the Republican Party between President William Howard Taft and former President Theodore Roosevelt which set the stage for the election of Democrat Woodrow Wilson to the White House. It then examines both the progressive economic reforms that Wilson pressed to see enacted and, at the same time, his deep and enduring racism as well.
